He is one of the most cherished and popular cricketers in the history of Indian Cricket. Yuvraj is aggressive left-handed batsman and slow left-arm bowler who is considered as accomplished all-rounder in limited over cricket. Yuvi can be effortless and brutal and can hit the ball miles on his day. For Stuart Broad, he is nightmare because Yuvraj hit six sixers in his one over (it was only third time in the history of game when batsman hit six consecutive sixers in one over).
Yuvraj is big match player and helped Indian Cricket Team twice to lift the world cups. He was one of the top performers in 2007 World Twenty20 and 2011 Cricket World Cup, both of which India won.
Yuvi is part of Indian ODI team since 2000 due to his consistent performance. In 2011 he was diagnosed with lung cancer and underwent treatment in USA. In March 2012 he recovered from this fatal disease and conferred with “Arjuna Award”, India’s second highest sports award, by President Pranab Mukherjee.
Yuvraj Singh was born on 12 December 1981 in Chandigarh India. He belongs to Punjabi Sikh Jat family. His father Yograj Singh is former Indian Fast Bowler and Punjabi movie star. After divorce of his parents he decided to stay with his mother. In his childhood he was interested in Tennis and Roller Skating but later on decided to play cricket. Yuvi first played for Punjab Under 16 Team when he was only 13 years old.
Overall he is one of the most accomplished and successful Cricketer in the World.
