Michael John Clarke was born on 2 April 1981 in New South Wales, Australia. He played his early cricket from New South Wales in Sheffield Shield. In 2011 he was given responsibility of Captainship and he responded well. Clarke not only led Australian team well under his leadership but inspired everyone with his batting performance. Although his batting averages are not that much impressive as of Steve Waugh and Ricky Ponting but he is one of the most talented batsmen in the world of Cricket.
Micheal Clarke led his team to victory in the ODI Cricket World Cup 2015, when they defeated New Zealand and lift the trophy for 5th time. On 8 October 2015, Clarke announced his retirement from all format of cricket. He announced his ODI retirement before the final of World Cup 2015 and made 72 runs in the final. Overall, Clarke is one of the most unsuccessful captain of modern Australian Cricket. There are many controversies attached with him along with many failures.
