Lowest Point in North Africa
Death Valley is the lowest point in the continent of North Africa with elevation of 282 feet below the sea level. This desert valley is situated in Eastern California, within the Mojave Desert. There are many other reasons of Death Valley’s popularity i.e. it is not only the driest place in North America but also the hottest location in the World.
Death Valley is located near the border of California and Nevada, east of Sierra Nevada Mountains. It has an estimated area of about 7800 km square.
