This Australian born British female tennis player is one of those girls which are considered as the future of tennis. Laura showed lot of promise when she won the Wimbledon Junior Girl’s Championship at an early age of 14. So far in her young career she reached the highest single ranking of World No.43 on 4 March 2013. Laura also won the silver medal in 2012 London Olympics, playing with Andy Murry in the mixed doubles.
Laura Robison was born on 21 January 1994 in Melbourne Australia. Her family first moved to Singapore and then to UK when she was six years old. Although she started to play tennis when she was able to hold tennis racquet yet she joined junior tennis academy at age of 11. After many impressive performances at junior level she made her debut on ITF in 2008. Robinson appeared in many Grand Slams and her biggest success was at US Open 2012 when she made it to the fourth round. She also became the first British player wince Samantha Smith, who reached at fourth round of 1998 Wimbledon, to reach the fourth round of any major tournament. Laura was also named as the Newcomer of the year 2012 for WTA.
