At U-19 level he was considered as the future of Pakistani Fast bowling along with Muhammad Amir. Junaid Khan is left-handed fast bowler who has good stamina and ability to swing the ball with pace. Although he made his Test debut against Zimbabwe in 2011 yet he failed to achieve big success in this match.
Presence of talented bowlers like Muhammad Amir blocked his way but after Amir’s ban he was included in the team as his replacement. In 2012 he performed well in ODI’s and Test match Cricket. During that year he took 8 wickets in three match ODI series against India and troubled all Indian top order batsmen with his swing and pace.
Junaid Khan was born on 24 December 1989 in Matra, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan. He made his first class debut in 2007 at an early age of 17 years. On 23 April 2011 he made his ODI debut against West Indies. Wasim Akram is the role model of Junaid Khan and he molded his bowling action on that of Wasim Akram. Overall he is one of the finest young fast bowlers in the world of Cricket.
