This Denmark National was born in Monte Carlo, Odense, Denmark on 11 July 1990. She belongs to a sports family because her mother Anna played volleyball for Poland’s National Team and her brother Patrik plays pro soccer in Denmark.
Caroline Wozniacki started her professional career on 18 July 2005 but after that never looked back and today she is the number one player in the world. In 2008 she won the award of “WTA Tour Most Impressive Newcomer of the Year”, in 2010 she became “ITF Player of the Year” and in 2011 she won “Diamond Aces” award. So far she won 18 WTA singles titles till date.
Wozniacki and Serena Williams are good friends and both are also arch rivals in tennis court. Both met in 11 matches head to head and Serena Williams won 10 out of 11 matches.
Wozniacki became World No.1 in year 2010 and remained on top position in 2011. During those years she remained the difficult opponent in the court but her form begun to decline with start of year 2012. In the following years her performance declined sharply and finally she was out of top ten ranking in 2015. Due to bad form and injuries she got out of top 40 in year 2016.
