A Fable by William Faulkner
In 1954 American author William Faulkner published his novel after tremendous work of almost a decade. The book met with huge success and not only won the Pulitzer Prize but also won the National Book Award for Fiction in 1955.
The book tells us the story of “Corporal Stephan” during the World War I. The story stretches through the course of one week and tells us about the horrible trench warfare of WW1. The Corporal is representative of Jesus and tries to persuade the 3000 troops not to attack on Germans and in return Germans do not attack them. Overall this is one of the most the most fascinating works in history of fiction novel.
